Job Title: Inpatient Psychiatric Clinician

Job Summary:

The Inpatient Psychiatric Clinician is a licensed mental health professional who provides specialized therapeutic care to adult and pediatric populations with mental health, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Conducts evaluations, risk assessments, and psychosocial evaluations to identify potential therapeutic targets for active treatment.
  • Develops individualized care plans in collaboration with the patient and interdisciplinary team, identifying effective interventions to achieve outcomes.
  • Provides individual, group, and family therapy interventions that are evidence-based and consistent with the patient's developmental level and needs.
  • Modifies interventions based on continual assessment of the patient's response to treatment.
  • Articulates anticipated treatment outcomes that are patient-centered, evidence-based, and measurable.
  • Maintains and abides by ethical standards set forth by the facility and Maine State Licensing Boards.
  • Maintains requirements of licensure.
  • Fosters teamwork within the department and with outside providers.
  • Provides critical feedback on the effectiveness of clinical interventions through regular peer review and supervisions.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in a related field.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Master Social Worker Conditional (Clinical), Licensed Professional Counselor Conditional, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Marital and Family Therapist in the State of Maine.
