You will work closely with healthcare providers to maintain patient flow, escort patients, identify patient needs, collect and verify information, administer medications, and update electronic medical records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct focused assessments through data collection and comparison to normal findings and patient health status, reporting changes to licensed healthcare providers for ongoing direction and patient management.
- Participate in the development and modification of patient health plans of care, collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure effective care delivery.
- Implement patient care interventions delegated, ordered, or prescribed by licensed healthcare providers, prioritizing patient safety and well-being.
- Assign and monitor nursing tasks or activities delegated to certified medical assistants or unlicensed personnel, ensuring seamless care delivery.
- Focus on patient care through safe and effective care delivery, patient advocacy, and collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Provide health information to patients, review education materials, and contribute to policy development and implementation.
Requirements:
- Current LPN Minnesota state license and current Medical Assistant certification or registration required, with a commitment to maintaining licensure and certification.
- Experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred, with the ability to work efficiently, accurately, and maintain positive working relationships.
- BLS certification required within two months of employment, with a demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission, and values.
- Maintain reliable and consistent attendance, with a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and service.
