Job Summary

The Assistant Housekeeping Manager is a key member of our housekeeping team, responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction in our hotel. As a seasoned professional, you will be responsible for leading a team of housekeeping associates, assigning tasks, inspecting work, and providing training to ensure exceptional service delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Task Management: Schedule room and cleaning assignments to ensure proper coverage, and ensure that all associates have the necessary supplies, equipment, and uniforms.
  • Quality Control: Inspect all assigned rooms and public areas to ensure furnishings, equipment, linens, etc. are clean and in good repair, and provide efficient and objective feedback to room attendants to drive efficiency and quality within the housekeeping department.
  • Training and Development: Train associates on safety standards and enforce those standards consistently, and identify associates engaging in unsafe behaviors and retain them appropriately.
  • Accident Prevention and Investigation: Complete accident investigations and take steps to prevent future accidents.
  • Housekeeping Duties: Perform all housekeeping duties necessary, including making beds, vacuuming, and cleaning, and verify and update the status of discrepant rooms throughout the shift.
  • Shift Management: Perform opening and closing shift duties, and notify the maintenance department of maintenance repairs necessary.
  • Cleanliness and Maintenance: Monitor cleanliness of hotels, including parking lot and exterior entrances, and ensure that all areas are clean and well-maintained.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma, GED certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Skills: Basic reading, writing, and math skills, customer service skills, prioritization and time management skills, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Transportation: Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
