Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paint Technician to join our team at Lincoln Electric. As a Paint Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our paint and wash systems, maintaining process documentation, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Supervise and perform maintenance and cleaning of the paint and wash systems at predetermined intervals, including wash system, paint booth, environmental room, wastewater treatment, filter changes, and other critical items.
  • Chemical Management: Drains, refills, and recharges wash, chemical, and rinse tanks on a predetermined schedule, recharges dosing tanks when low, and performs titrations to check concentrations of chemical tanks.
  • Calibration and Testing: Calibrate conductivity, PH, and other meters at specified intervals, run paint test panels as required by engineering for quality and reliability testing, and perform oven profiling periodically as specified by engineering.
  • System Operation: Manage start up and shut down of the systems, maintain and create process instructions for painting and washing parts, and monitor waste water treatment system.
  • Quality and Safety: Ensure climate control settings are maintained throughout the systems, change out and manage chemicals, and maintain a comprehensive understanding of wash and paint systems.
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with wash systems, powder paint, and liquid paint systems or 7 years of experience in a related field with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Able to troubleshoot and solve manufacturing problems, with excellent attention to detail and ability to read and calibrate gages and meters.
  • Experience working with chemicals, measuring, and mixing them to achieve the initial desired concentrations and to maintain concentrations.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of wash and paint systems with demonstrated performance in the job of maintaining and sustaining them.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team, with very good organizational skills and written and oral communication skills.
  • Good computer skills with ability to effectively use Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.
  • Ability to work effectively and efficiently independently, cross functionally, or part of a team, with excellent safety and quality mindset.
