About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to join our team at SSM Health Davis Duehr Dean Eye Care Clinic in Madison, WI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist eye care providers in the exam and treatment of patients.
- Document patient information, including chief complaint, history of present illness, and ocular findings.
- Perform various tests, such as visual acuity measurement, color vision testing, and tonometry.
- Act as a scribe by documenting clinically relevant interactions and dialogue during patient visits.
- Provide patient education under the direction of eye care providers.
- Assist with minor surgery procedures and laser treatments.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of healthcare experience.
- Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) certification.
