We're seeking a motivated, career-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, FL. As a key member of our team, you'll utilize model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to develop and integrate systems modeling language (SysML)-compliant models and produce DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and integrate SysML-compliant models using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler within a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE).
  • Build parametric models and other SysML diagrams to inform optimization of system performance against cost, risk, and performance constraints.
  • Work with engineers from other disciplines to use model-based Multidisciplinary Optimization and Analysis (MDAO) capability to assist with technology research within our DEE.
  • Adjust system models based on inputs and outputs for other disciplines' mathematical and model-driven simulations to explore system performance characteristics.
  • Based on technology research outputs, build models to assess change impacts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2 years of position-specific relevant experience. Strong problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential.
  • Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, CATIA, or other SysML/Modeling tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • OCSMP SysML or INCOSE Certifications.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM).
  • Knowledge and understanding of Software Intensive Systems or Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems.
  • Experience modeling or simulating systems within DoD domains. Experience with MATLAB, AFSIM, SIMDIS, or similar modeling and simulation tools. Experience with C++, Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, VBA, or STK.
Clearance Requirements:
  • This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time.
  • Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
  • The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
  • The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
