Job Overview

FUNCTION: Operate a water transport vehicle to deliver water to various job locations throughout Northern Utah. The operator will utilize a sprinkling mechanism to apply water on road surfaces to mitigate dust.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embody and promote the vision and core values of Preferred Paving.
  • Drive and manage the water transport vehicle effectively.
  • Ensure the proper functioning and upkeep of the company vehicle.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections on the vehicle.
  • Adhere to all traffic regulations while operating the assigned vehicle.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Familiarity with vehicle controls and electronic systems.

EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Possession of a Class B CDL with Tanker endorsement.
  • Maintaining a clean driving record.
  • Previous experience is preferred but not mandatory.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work is conducted outdoors, potentially in adverse weather conditions, including heat, cold, and dust exposure.
  • Must be capable of lifting and carrying weights of at least 50 lbs on a regular basis.
