Job Summary

This role provides strategic leadership and support to the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) in overseeing the nursing and patient care functions within the hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating nursing practice on a multi-unit level, ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate care for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a culture of excellence and professionalism.
  • Collaborate with the CNO to develop and implement nursing strategies, policies, and procedures.
  • Assume 24/7 responsibility for the Director's assigned areas, ensuring seamless operations and patient care.
  • Ensure competency of clinical staff, effective resource management, and high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Participate in onboarding and training programs, ensuring new staff members are equipped to provide exceptional care.

Requirements

  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
  • Proven leadership ability, hospital operational expertise, and ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.
  • Associate degree from an accredited nursing school, with a bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field or a BSN.
  • Preferred: MSN or master's in a healthcare-related field.
  • 2 years of progressive management experience in a hospital environment as a manager or full-time charge nurse/related position.
  • Current licensure, certification, or registration to practice profession as required by law, regulation in state of practice or policy; CPR.
