Job Summary
Clinical Director will provide clinical oversight and guidance to staff and managers to ensure appropriate and professional service delivery to survivors of sexual and domestic violence. This role will conduct both individual and group clinical supervision as required or needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct group and individual clinical supervision with staff to support direct services and reduce vicarious trauma.
- Collaborate with program managers to develop and deliver trauma-informed services across all program models.
- Provide ongoing training and staff development on clinical issues and interventions to enhance and support staff growth.
- Provide one-on-one crisis intervention, counseling, and advocacy to program participants as needed.
- Coordinate support groups services for community-based and shelter clients; co-facilitate as needed.
- Prepare and maintain records and relevant documents.
- Maintain confidentiality of client, employee, and agency information in accordance with federal and state laws and funder requirements.
- Ensure compliance with program/department, agency, and/or funder requirements, as well as, SMOC policies & procedures.
Requirements
- Master's-level licensed social worker or counselor, psychiatric nurse, psychologist, or psychiatrist required.
- Minimum three years experience providing services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence.
- Familiarity with criminal justice and police systems; demonstrated commitment to survivors of trauma required.
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, and written & verbal communication skills required.
- Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
- Bilingual Spanish or Portuguese preferred.
Organizational Relationship
Clinical Director will directly report to Component Director, Voices Against Violence.
Working Conditions
Clinical Director will have direct or incidental contact with clients served by SMOC in various programs funded or administered through the Executive Office of Health and Human Services.
A successful background check is required.
