The Role

This position is integral to our Structural Heart division, focusing on enhancing health and quality of life through innovative device solutions for structural heart conditions. As a key contributor within SH Commercial Finance, you will collaborate with leadership to promote financial accountability, optimize costs, and drive process enhancements.

Your Responsibilities

  • Generate comprehensive financial forecasts by integrating historical, trending, and current business data.
  • Track departmental expenditures against budgets, identifying significant variances through detailed reports.
  • Assist in month-end closing processes and prepare journal entries to ensure accurate accounting.
  • Compile and disseminate financial reports by analyzing current performance metrics.
  • Conduct financial analyses as directed, recommending alternative strategies using appropriate financial tools.
  • Assess new business ventures, potential acquisitions, and product launches by modeling various financial scenarios.
  • Perform sensitivity analyses to evaluate the impact of changes in key variables on revenue and profitability.
  • Establish and maintain effective financial processes.
  • Foster a broad network of support to facilitate project completion and mentor less experienced staff.
  • Plan and prioritize non-routine tasks with minimal supervision, ensuring timely execution.
  • Utilize innovative problem-solving methods to achieve objectives, minimizing delays and resource expenditure.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Over 4 years of experience in Financial Planning and Analysis.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUP.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to present financial information effectively.
  • Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis within a manufacturing or cost accounting environment.
  • Familiarity with SAP ERP and Hyperion Planning/Essbase systems.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage tight deadlines.
  • Proactive approach to adapting to changing priorities.
  • Strong initiative and results-oriented mindset.
