Position Overview:
This is an ongoing recruitment initiative for qualified candidates in the field of Otolaryngology. As opportunities arise, applicants will be evaluated and considered for available positions.

Compensation and Benefits:

Role Responsibilities:
The Otolaryngologist will be responsible for delivering a full range of Otolaryngology services within the VA healthcare system, including:
  • Conducting thorough medical history reviews and detailed physical examinations.
  • Interpreting laboratory and diagnostic results.
  • Diagnosing conditions related to the ear, nose, and throat, and performing necessary procedures in both operating room and clinical settings.
  • Assessing and managing diseases affecting the ear, nose, throat, and associated surgical conditions.
  • Performing screening examinations and completing history and physicals (H&Ps) and progress notes.
  • Prescribing medications for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Writing appropriate orders for patients assigned to the facility.

Work Schedule:
Standard hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Qualifications:
To be eligible for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
  • U.S. Citizenship is required; non-citizens may only be appointed when qualified citizens are unavailable.
  • A degree of Doctor of Medicine or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
  • A current, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in any U.S. state or territory.
  • Completion of residency training in an accredited core specialty program, leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • Board Certification or eligibility in the specified specialty is preferred.
