Otolaryngology Advanced Practice Provider

Position Overview:
The Section of Otolaryngology at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center is in search of a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider, either a Physician Assistant or Advanced Practice Nurse, with a preference for candidates possessing experience or specialized training in Otolaryngology.
Key Responsibilities:
The Advanced Practice Provider will collaborate closely with the Otolaryngology faculty, focusing primarily on head and neck oncology care across various settings, including outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, and the operating room as necessary.
Responsibilities will encompass:
- Delivering care and education to patients with diverse otolaryngologic conditions in partnership with attending physicians.
- Performing a range of procedures within the office environment.
- Assisting in surgical operations.
- Supporting inpatient and emergency room consultations.
- Managing otolaryngology inpatients alongside the resident team.
Qualifications:
Experience with office-based procedures such as flexible laryngoscopy, nasal endoscopy, otomicroscopy, and biopsies, along with foundational suturing and first assisting skills, is highly desirable.
This is a full-time position with a day shift schedule, offering some flexibility for a four-day work week if preferred.
Educational Commitment:
The ideal candidate should possess a passion for teaching, as educational duties will include training PA residents as part of an established Otolaryngology PA residency program.
A faculty appointment at the level of Instructor through The Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth will be pursued.
