Maintenance Mechanic Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at B&G Foods. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment in compliance with plant codes, policies, and procedures.
  • Repair and maintain plant machinery in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
  • Respond to all maintenance issues throughout the plant.
  • Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures, and actively participate in the safety program.
  • Effectively communicate work performed and equipment statuses both written and verbally.
  • Work any shift, on-call, holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
  • Wear the necessary Personal Protection equipment (PPE) as required by specific jobs.
Requirements:
  • At minimum, possess high school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred candidates will have experience in a food or other type of manufacturing operation.
  • Candidates must pass required maintenance competency testing (Ramsay Corporation).
