The Mental Health Technician II provides critical support to individuals experiencing serious mental illness, offering group and individual training on essential skills such as social and coping skills, and self-management. This role involves service coordination, linkage to community services, and crisis prevention and management as needed.
Key Responsibilities- Provide training and support to individuals with serious mental illness
- Coordinate services and link individuals to community resources
- Engage in crisis prevention and management as necessary
- Work in various settings, including hospitals, outpatient clinics, and community environments
A Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Sciences or a related field is required. Alternatively, a Bachelor's degree in a non-related field, along with six years of comparable job experience, and one year of experience with the SPMI and/or Addictive Disease population, is also acceptable. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is mandatory. Preference is given to candidates holding certifications such as CTRS, CRC, or CPRP.
