Job Summary

The Safety Advisor is a critical role responsible for maintaining a safe and healthy work environment at MAREK construction sites.

This position involves conducting regular safety inspections, identifying and mitigating hazards, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

The Safety Advisor will work closely with the Safety Manager and other team members to train employees, conduct risk assessments, and manage incident responses.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in construction safety, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in both English and Spanish.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular job site safety inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Focus on identifying hazardous conditions and implementing immediate corrective actions.
  • Report directly to the Safety Manager, providing updates and feedback on safety practices and concerns.
  • Advise supervision on corrective and disciplinary actions to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Train employees in safe production practices to minimize risk and enhance safety awareness.
  • Conduct comprehensive new employee orientations focusing on safety procedures and company policies.
  • Create and submit detailed reports in E-compliance regarding safety inspections and incidents.
  • Conduct thorough accident investigations to determine causes and develop preventative strategies.
  • Arrange medical treatment for job-related injuries, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
  • Perform construction site risk assessments to identify potential hazards and develop mitigation strategies.
Requirements
  • High School diploma, diploma in skilled trade, or equivalent work experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred, with the ability to read, write, and speak both languages.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and company-specific safety policies.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction preferably Drywall.
