Responsibilities

As a Refrigeration Service Technician with CoolSys, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing service to customers by repairing and overhauling equipment, such as compressors, water pumps, air handlers, electrical and mechanical control devices
  • Performing general repair work on refrigeration, heating, and ventilation equipment, including air conditioning units, evaporative condensers, ice machine equipment, water pumps, gas furnaces, compressors, and electric motors
  • Providing preventative maintenance activities for customers by diagnosing equipment malfunctions and operating deficiencies
  • Testing malfunctioning systems and components using electrical and/or mechanical skills
  • Maintaining legible corporate and personal records of work history
  • Processing job tickets and work orders in a timely manner
  • Picking up, delivering, and installing cases
  • Performing work on minor construction and remodeling projects, including startups of new installations
  • Driving company vehicles in a safe manner
Qualifications

To be successful as a Refrigeration Service Technician with CoolSys, you will need:

  • 3+ years of experience with commercial HVAC and refrigeration installation
  • Ability to work on equipment and troubleshoot, test, and balance systems
  • Valid driver's license and active EPA certification
  • Excellent customer relations and interpersonal skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., safely climb and balance on a ladder, and work in elevated/high locations
