Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in their daily tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other professional disciplines to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery.
  • Perform general patient care tasks, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and laboratory testing.
  • Prepare patients for exams and procedures, and assist healthcare providers during exams and procedures.
  • Document patient information and test results in the medical record.
  • Communicate with patients and families regarding test results and plan of care.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, and ensure proper disposal of biohazardous materials.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
  • Ability to perform EKGs, draw blood, and administer injections.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology and abbreviations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
