Job Overview

Talent Connections is seeking a seasoned Operations Manager to lead the daily operations of a luxury resort in North Georgia. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the resort's departments, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resort Management: Oversee the daily operations of all resort departments, including lodging, winery, spa, events, and food & beverage.
  • Budgeting & Financial Management: Work with the General Manager to develop and manage budgets for each department, monitor financial performance, and implement cost-control measures.
  • Vendor & Inventory Management: Negotiate contracts with key vendors and suppliers, oversee inventory management, and ensure that all departments have the necessary supplies to operate efficiently.
  • Event Coordination: Work with the events team to plan and execute weddings, corporate events, special occasions, and special events at the resort.
  • Quality Control & Maintenance: Ensure that the resort facilities are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
HR Responsibilities
  • Training & Development: Design and implement training programs for staff to ensure high levels of customer service, operational efficiency, and safety compliance.
  • Recruitment & Staffing: Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for various resort departments.
  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns and grievances, ensuring timely and fair resolution in accordance with company policies.
  • Compliance & Policies: Ensure the resort's policies and practices comply with all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations.
Requirements
  • Hospitality Management or Business Operations experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role within the hospitality industry, with a strong focus on HR management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing resort or hotel operations.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with financial management, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and labor law compliance.
