About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design and Development Professional to join our team at SPI LLC.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating detailed designs using CAD software to optimize material utilization, reduce waste, and increase productivity. This role involves analyzing operational issues and redesigning products to improve functionality and lower costs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Apply engineering principles to design and develop manufacturing processes.
  • Create detailed designs using CAD software to optimize material utilization, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
  • Analyze operational issues and redesign products to improve functionality and lower costs.
  • Document production methods to standardize operations and train employees.
  • Implement new process tools according to required order.
  • Develop product designs for marketing and sales teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Research new automation technologies and methods.
  • Supervise and train labor forces to meet productivity targets and efficiency improvements.
  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Maintain a clean and organized facility with proper labeling and inventory control.
  • Plan and execute builds to meet or exceed targeted rates for material consumption and labor utilization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related field.
  • Ability to interpret and follow drawings, blueprints, and work instructions.
  • Hands-on mechanical diagnostics and repair experience, preferably with electrical systems knowledge.
  • Previous supervisory experience with demonstrated ability to lead and develop personnel.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar software.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word), and ERP systems.
  • Demonstrated experience improving workplace processes (costs, efficiency, productivity, quality).
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Highly developed sense of integrity and commitment to customer satisfaction.
Estimated Salary: $90,000 - $125,000 per year
