Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Collaborate with clients to ascertain essential system specifications.
- Analyze electrical machine requirements by evaluating system and client needs.
- Utilize simulation software, including MATLAB, Simulink, and PLECS, to validate and enhance control algorithms for various electric machines, ensuring alignment with performance standards.
- Incorporate finite element analysis outputs and other design tools to define and apply machine parameters within system models.
- Coordinate closely with the electrical machine design team to ensure the physical machine aligns with specified requirements.
- Formulate and execute testing protocols for electrical machine systems, documenting performance metrics.
- Present findings and insights effectively to global research teams, business units, governmental bodies, professional organizations, and academic journals.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with a focus on control systems for electric machines.
- Comprehensive understanding of electrical machines, encompassing electromagnetic, thermal, and mechanical aspects.
- Experience with a broad range of machine configurations.
- Proficiency in simulation tools such as finite element analysis, MATLAB (Simulink), and PLECS.
- Must possess U.S. citizenship.
- Willingness to work in a collaborative office environment.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
