Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineering Technician to join our team at Cummins Inc. This role will be responsible for building, repairing, and preparing articles for testing and associated auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform testing in accordance with established test procedures and methodology.
  • Consistently provide accurate and reliable test results.
  • Configure and operate data acquisition systems; analyze and review data for appropriateness.
  • Design, document, and execute test plans; provide input during the creation of test plans.
  • Prepare test reports to include findings, conclusions, and recommendations.
Requirements
  • High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education, or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field.
  • Regionally applicable certification or two-year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
  • Significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
Work Environment

This position requires working in a laboratory setting with a focus on mechanical engineering and testing. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
