The Internal Communications Lead provides strategic communication support and direction for operational topics and initiatives. This role supports and maintains Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies' global standards and develops editorial and video content for intranet, publications, newsletters, e-boards, presentations, and other internal communication channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, directs, and executes internal communications plans to ensure alignment with global narrative, company culture, and values.
  • Prepares content, executes, and facilitates internal communications, including Town Halls, internal newsletters, video briefs, and scripts.
  • Partners cross-functionally with Human Resources, Operations, and other functions to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery.
  • Serves as the on-site administrator of the FDBN and FDBU Intranet site, ensuring timely and visually engaging information.
  • Manages the site's primary communications account, distributing weekly newsletters, event invites, and regular operational updates.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or related fields with 12+ years of previous experience in a communications role.
  • Excellent writing and research skills, with knowledge of AP style and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed environment and operating within a complex, fast-paced, and changing environment.
  • Fluency in communications tools and technology, including Canva, Contact, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience with corporate video projects and basic video editing.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or life sciences industry.
Working Conditions & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in an environment that may necessitate respiratory protection.
  • Ability to work in Mechanical/Production spaces that may require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle or Powered Industrial Truck.
  • Ability to inspect or perform a task with 20/20 corrected vision, visual acuity, including distinguishing color.
  • Ability to ascend or descend ladders, scaffolding, ramps, etc.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Ability to conduct activities using repetitive motions that include writs, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Ability to operate machinery and/or power tools.
  • Ability to conduct work that includes moving objects up to 33 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, push, or pull, reach to retrieve materials from 18" to 60" in height, and use twisting motions.
