About This Role

The Internal Communications Lead provides critical communication support and direction for strategic initiatives and operational topics at Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies. This position plays a key role in maintaining the company's global standards and developing editorial and video content for internal communication channels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develops, directs, and executes internal communications plans to ensure alignment with global narrative, company culture, and values.
  • Prepares and facilitates internal communications, including Town Halls, newsletters, video briefs, and scripts, to engage employees and leaders across the business.
  • Partners with cross-functional teams to execute communication initiatives from concept to delivery, championing the inclusion of employee and leadership voice.
  • Serves as the on-site administrator of the FDBN and FDBU Intranet site, ensuring timely and visually engaging information.
  • Manages the site's primary communications account, distributing weekly newsletters, event invites, and regular operational updates.
  • Provides communications support for external events and initiatives, collaborating with the Global Communications team.
  • Translates business decisions and strategies to support communications and message development, ensuring synergy across sites.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, public relations, journalism, or a related field, with 12+ years of previous experience in a communications role.
  • Excellent writing and research skills, with knowledge of AP style and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed environment and operating within a complex, fast-paced, and changing environment.
  • Fluency in communications tools and technology, including Canva, Contact, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience with corporate video projects and basic video editing skills.
  • Understanding of the pharmaceutical/biotechnology or life sciences industry.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The successful candidate will work in an environment that may require respiratory protection and may work in mechanical/production spaces that require hearing protection and enrollment in a hearing conservation program. The ability to stand for prolonged periods, sit for prolonged periods, and conduct activities using repetitive motions is required.
