Gaming Cashier

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Gaming Cashier to join our team at Parx Casino. As a Gaming Cashier, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless gaming experience for our guests.

Key Responsibilities

• Cashiering Duties:
  • Maintain and reconcile a cash drawer, and secure cash, coupons, forms, and other related inventory associated with cashiering.
  • Pay out winning Sports Wagering tickets.
  • Exchange cash or coupons for customers in adherence with established procedures.
  • Cash checks for customers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Prepare, issue, and receive banks from Team Members of other departments.
  • Assist slot operations in preparing jackpot payouts for customers.
  • Maintain and secure all cash and cash equivalents in possession, while providing accurate reporting and financial transactions through the POS system.
  • Perform all cashiering duties in assigned areas as requested, this could include special assignments.
  • Handle customer complaints and solicit the support of a supervisor as needed.
  • Follow the respective duties and responsibilities of the position as delineated, listed, and outlined in Internal Control Section 465a.16.
  • Ensure all AML and Title 31 procedures are followed and tracked accurately.
• Sports Wagering Duties:
  • Cash or sell sports wagering tickets.
  • Accurately maintain a bank and reconcile at the end of their shift for all transactions handled.
  • Verify Winning tickets with supervisor/manager approval where necessary.
  • Act as a point of contact for guests who have questions about sports wagering and bet placement.
  • Communicate with management of any issues or concerns they may be presented with.
  • Contact management if there are any issues with equipment, wagering tickets, guest issues whenever necessary.
  • Issue and Re-print Players Cards; Issue Promotions (No Discretionary Comp Approval).
  • Give exceptional customer service to all guests who are in the facility.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
• Knowledge of standard cage and internal control procedures preferred.
• Must have excellent guest service, math, and money handling skills.
• Must be able to lift, bend, kneel, stand, walk, push, pull, and carry weight for a full 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to work all shifts and weekends/holidays as required.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and through written communications.
