About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Store Maintenance Associate to join our team at TJX Companies, Inc. As a Store Maintenance Associate, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized store environment, ensuring a positive customer experience, and supporting the overall success of our retail operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the operation of floor care equipment, dusting, and spot cleaning glass and windows.
  • Customer Service: Role model established customer experience practices, providing exceptional service to internal and external customers.
  • Team Collaboration: Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect, working effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Adherence to Standards: Maintain all floor care cleanliness standards, including the maintenance and operation of floor care equipment, and adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
  • Cross-Training: Cross-trained in other areas of the store, including the Backroom, Front End, Sales Floor, and other areas as needed.
  • Front End Coverage: Support and respond to all Front End coverage needs, ensuring seamless customer service and sales support.
  • Merchandising and Recovery: Adhere to all merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
  • Operational Controls: Adhere to all operational and loss prevention controls in accordance with company guidelines and policies, including shrink reduction.
  • Communication: Communicate accurately and effectively with management and Associates, adhering to all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Excellent Customer Service Skills: Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Able to work a flexible schedule to support business needs, and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, and adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards.
  • Physical Stamina: Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks and run floor buffer and scrubber, and capable of lifting heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to listen and respond appropriately.
