Human Services Coordinator
About the Role:Cayuga Centers is seeking a dedicated Human Services Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Home Study and Post Release Services (HS/PRS) program, you will play a crucial role in making a significant impact on the lives of unaccompanied children aged 0-17 1/2.
The ideal candidate will have experience conducting home studies according to state requirements and possess strong professional writing skills, particularly for assessment reports. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant behavioral/social sciences field is required.
Responsibilities:- Conduct home studies to assess the safety of the home and the suitability of the sponsor before the child is unified with them.
- Provide post release services to assess the child and the sponsor's areas of need, ensuring their well-being and connection within the community.
- Act as an advocate for the child, helping them navigate the unfamiliar system and connecting them with resources that meet their specific needs.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant behavioral/social sciences field.
- Experience conducting home studies according to state requirements.
- Strong professional writing skills, particularly for assessment reports.
- Knowledge of local community social services.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and travel extensively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
