Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Room at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Hanover. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care, working collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Room, utilizing evidence-based practices and protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Assess patient needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care, including medication administration, wound care, and vital sign monitoring.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of safety and excellence.
Requirements
  • One year of experience in Emergency Services required.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or has a Compact license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and CPI required within six (6) months of hire.
