Emergency Room Registered Nurse RN Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Emergency Department team at Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, including assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications, perform procedures, and monitor patient vital signs as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
  • One year of experience in Emergency Services or a related field.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia or a Compact state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • ACLS, PALS, and CPI certifications required within six months of hire.
