Position Overview:

The Event Operations Supervisor is responsible for managing the banquet team and ensuring seamless execution of events. This role demands exceptional leadership abilities and attention to detail, as the supervisor coordinates staff activities, serves guests, and maintains high service standards to deliver unforgettable experiences. This is a part-time role, requiring availability during scheduled events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and assist with the preparation, execution, and dismantling of banquet events, ensuring all operations are conducted smoothly and efficiently.
  • Lead banquet personnel, including servers and bartenders, ensuring adherence to service standards and exceptional guest experiences.
  • Direct staff during events, assigning tasks and providing necessary guidance for optimal service delivery.
  • Resolve any issues that arise during events promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction is maintained.
  • Conduct pre-event meetings to communicate event specifics, expectations, and any special requests to the team.
  • Offer continuous support and direction to staff throughout events, addressing performance issues or training needs as they arise.
  • Engage with guests during events, ensuring their needs are met and requests are handled efficiently.
  • Keep management updated on event progress and any challenges encountered.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in banquet operations.
  • Experience in serving or bartending roles.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changes in work tasks effectively.
