Job Summary

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for the upfront electrical system planning, design, layout, and subsequent support of the installation and integration in a wide range of custom mobile solutions. This position will act as a liaison between the shop floor and engineering and will support the planning and development of new product designs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain continuous communication with engineering to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.
  • Maintain continuous communication and provide technical direction with the shop floor to maintain constant alignment with manufacturing.
  • Develop electrical load calculations and power distribution documentation.
  • Create block diagrams and schematics based on input requirements.
  • Support customer meetings, conference calls, and site visits as required.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 2-4 years AC and DC system and component design experience.
  • 2-4 years shop manufacturing/construction experience.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 70.
  • Proficiency in MSOffice applications.
  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills
  • 1-2 years custom truck, 5th wheel, and/or drawbar, or RV design experience.
  • NEC classroom training and certificate.
  • Ability to design and program PLC, HMI, and other types of electronic or electrical manufacturing equipment.
Physical Skills
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
  • Required to stand, walk, and use hands.
  • Must be able to position self to move, bend, and lift up to 75-lbs.
  • Ascend/descend on ladders and move around/within custom mobile solutions.
  • Required use of fingers and hands to operate a computer.
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
