Job Summary:
As a Hospital Aide at Recruitics JB, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care in our inpatient hospital setting. Under the supervision of licensed staff, you will perform a variety of non-professional patient care duties, ensuring the highest level of care and comfort for our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collect and report patient data, identifying changes in patient status and communicating with RN/LPN to implement care plans.
  • Assist with admissions, discharges, and transfers, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  • Develop technical competence in basic nursing skills and equipment operation, demonstrating a commitment to quality care.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide comprehensive patient care, adhering to Department/Unit/JCAHO standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient data and nursing care activities, utilizing Department and Unit forms as required.
  • Apply safety principles and standards, including patient, environment, and employee safety, to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Report incidents, work-related injuries, and unsafe equipment or environments to supervisors or appropriate personnel.
  • Adhere to infection control principles and standards, maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
  • Function within the parameters of the job description, maintaining confidentiality of patient and hospital information.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams, providing excellent customer service.
  • Remain calm in emergency situations, following established protocols to ensure patient safety.
  • Participate in mandatory JCAHO inservices and CPR recertification, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
  • Attend Unit Staff Meetings, contributing to a collaborative and supportive team environment.
  • Seek guidance and direction when unsure of procedures or actions required, demonstrating a willingness to learn and grow.

Requirements:
  • Experience: Hospital Aide training program or equivalent military training course, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • License, Certification, Registration: Basic Life Support from American Heart Association.
  • Additional Requirements: Demonstrated knowledge of oral communication, written communication, interpersonal relations, and customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • One year of Hospital Aide experience.
