We are a top Electrical Contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to lead our projects from start to finish. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing all aspects of our electrical projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Planning and Execution: Plan, organize, and execute all aspects of the project, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  • Resource Coordination: Determine and coordinate all necessary project resources, including personnel, materials, and equipment.
  • Decision Making: Make decisions on project(s) and ensure that they align with company goals and objectives.
  • Client Liaison: Function as the liaison between the field and the client(s) to facilitate effective construction activities.
  • Quote and Bid Management: Prepare and track job quotes and bid packages, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Design-Build Coordination: Coordinate with the Engineering Department on Design-Build work and obtain Plan Check Approval.
  • Contract Review: Review contracts, trade-specific work, and insurance documents (OCIP/CCIP/PLA).
  • Change Order Management: Identify, create, and negotiate all change orders in a timely manner.
  • Progress Tracking: Maintain all progress tracking logs and manage releases of lighting gear and controls.
  • Team Leadership: Direct, train, and mentor a Project Engineer or Assistant Project Manager, as applicable.
  • Project Reviews: Collaborate with field supervision and internal support resources to ensure the project stays on schedule and maximizes profitability.
  • Financial Management: Review Job Reports and create monthly cost and billing projections, and oversee Billing Processes.
  • Cash Flow Management: Actively work to maintain a healthy cash flow position.
  • Client Communication: Prepare weekly Friday Letters for clients, providing project status updates.
  • Cost Management: Monitor and approve all job-related cost expenditures.
  • Subcontractor Management: Manage and track subcontractors.
  • Project Closeout: Complete project closeout process.
Requirements
  • Estimating Experience: Accubid preferred.
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in a construction, engineering, or business-related field from an accredited college or university preferred.
  • Experience: A minimum of five years in the electrical construction trade, with a strong knowledge of construction sequencing, construction methods, and materials practices, including knowledge of electrical systems.
  • Certifications: LEED AP and OSHA 30 certifications are desired but not mandatory.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Software Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office Suite, BlueBeam, and understanding of AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Leadership Skills: Ability to take ownership and accountability, and display leadership skills.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to read and understand Architectural, Structural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing drawings, and knowledge of, and compliance with, all electrical codes, Local Union Labor Agreements, and State Compliance Laws/Regulations.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing job requirements.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work in a team environment and display leadership skills.
  • Customer Focus: Positive attitude and customer focus.
