Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled electrical engineer to join the ROIC and Digital Products Department at RTX. As a Senior Firmware Design Engineer, you will work on new product development based on customer descriptions and specifications. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, developing, and manufacturing complex state-of-the-art systems for airborne, naval, and land-based military applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop digital systems using VHDL/Verilog coding and FPGA development
  • Work with integrated product teams to integrate hardware and software at the level of electronic components and circuit boards
  • Perform circuit analysis, circuit simulation, and design verification and testing
  • Develop and maintain design documentation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related STEM field and a minimum of 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:

  • Digital Signal Processing
  • Intel/Altera and/or AMD/Xilinx FPGAs
  • Designing in Matlab/Simulink with DSP Builder and HDL Coder blocksets
  • Digital hardware design and firmware integration
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AMD/Xilinx, Intel/Altera, or Microsemi FPGAs, High Level Modeling tools and languages such as SystemVerilog or HDL Coder, and embedded electronics, VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog, Schematic capture, signal processing, RF, FPGA.

RTX offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $179,000, as well as benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Hired applicants may also be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs.
