Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Engineer to join our team at ANDRITZ. This role will be responsible for defining and implementing reliable repair methods for customer equipment, including pumps, centrifuges, and other rotating machinery.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot complex problems with rotating equipment, including centrifuges and gearboxes.
  • Develop and implement repair plans for rotating equipment, ensuring best practices are followed.
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve issues and provide technical support.
  • Utilize vibration analysis to troubleshoot problems with rotating equipment in the field and in the service center.
  • Review and improve rotating equipment repair practices and documentation.
  • Ensure all repair documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Participate in project reviews, planning, and production meetings.
  • Support mechanics and machinists with engineering and technical support.
  • Work with outside vendors to resolve equipment issues.
  • Lead and participate in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Evaluate repair processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is operational by coordinating maintenance and repair services.
  • Communicate effectively with customers and outside employees.

Requirements:

  • BS in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in plant maintenance or rotating equipment engineering.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to use measurement instruments.
  • Experience with rotating equipment, including pumps, turbines, and centrifuges.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, or other drawing program expertise.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • 2 years of experience with SAP preferred.
  • 5 years of experience with reading drawings, geometric dimensioning, and tolerance (GD&T).
  • Proven ability to work well with others and lead teams.

Preferred Skills:

  • Rotating equipment repair and engineering experience.
  • Machine shop and welding practices.
  • Service Center Repair and Manufacturing processes.
  • SAP, Microsoft Office software, MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Root cause analysis reliability fundamentals.
  • Production scheduling and knowledge of cycle times.
  • Repair and manufacture of centrifuges, belt filter presses, and other separation equipment.

Work Environment:

This role will work closely with the Plant Manager, Production, and Planning staff. The ideal candidate will possess strong people skills and be able to work well with others at all levels.
