Oncology Nurse Practitioner Position

At Central Maine Healthcare, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings under the supervision of a Medical Oncologist.
  • Collaborate with Medical Oncologists to formulate patient care plans.
  • Assist with managing unscheduled patient visits and emergency patients.
  • Provide symptom management and patient education.
  • Document patient care and responses in compliance with hospital policies.

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in Nursing Science (MSN)
  • Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
  • Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred
  • Advanced Practice Oncology (AOCNP) certification preferred
  • Minimum of one (1) year oncology experience
  • Licensed by the State of Maine as an advanced practice registered nurse (Nurse Practitioner)

Language Skills:

  • Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing
  • Strong written and verbal skills

Skills:

  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Ability to deliver patient care in a manner appropriate to patients' age, physical ability, and intellectual development
