Oncology Nurse Practitioner Position

At Central Maine Healthcare, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and experiences. We are seeking a skilled Oncology Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform patient care in outpatient and inpatient settings under the supervision of a Medical Oncologist.
- Collaborate with Medical Oncologists to formulate patient care plans.
- Assist with managing unscheduled patient visits and emergency patients.
- Provide symptom management and patient education.
- Document patient care and responses in compliance with hospital policies.
Requirements:
- Masters degree in Nursing Science (MSN)
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner Program
- Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) certification preferred
- Advanced Practice Oncology (AOCNP) certification preferred
- Minimum of one (1) year oncology experience
- Licensed by the State of Maine as an advanced practice registered nurse (Nurse Practitioner)
Language Skills:
- Effective communication in English, both verbally and in writing
- Strong written and verbal skills
Skills:
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to deliver patient care in a manner appropriate to patients' age, physical ability, and intellectual development
