Position Overview
Our clinical research partner is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to join their dedicated team. This pivotal role will support the research team in the successful execution of groundbreaking clinical trials.
About the Company
Our partner is a network of clinical research sites with multiple locations across various states. They conduct Phase I-IV trials in therapeutic areas including cardiology, metabolic disorders, renal, CNS, pulmonology, and vaccines.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute specialized tasks essential for assisting research professionals.
- Specialized areas of focus include, but are not limited to: sterile compounding, medication history management, inventory oversight, medstation upkeep, unit inspection, and packaging.
- Utilize necessary equipment, non-sterile and/or compounding supplies, and computer systems for the procurement, preparation, verification, and delivery of medications.
- Implement quality control measures and aid in the upkeep of the pharmacy, equipment, and supplies.
- Take charge of at least one pharmacy-related project beyond regular duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager, which may include workflow optimization, performance enhancement, safety, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, administrative tasks, staff development, and technology integration.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician in the state of Illinois.
- National Certification from PTCB or NHA as a Pharmacy Technician. Candidates who were state-certified prior to 2007 and have maintained active status may also qualify.
- Experience in clinical research is preferred.
- Prior work experience in a hospital or inpatient setting.
- Strong oral and written communication abilities.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
Job Type: Full-time
Compensation: $36.00 per hour
Expected Work Hours: 32 – 40 hours per week
