Position Summary:

Financial Operations Manager; a full-time, in-person role.

We are looking for a proactive and personable individual capable of overseeing the daily functions of our Accounting Department.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the daily operations of the accounting team.
  • Ensure the accuracy of daily financial settlements and general ledger entries.
  • Oversee the integrity and consistency of transaction processing, including share drafts and electronic payments.
  • Handle exceptions and guarantee precise postings to the general ledger.
  • Lead the monthly closing activities and prepare financial statements, statistical data, and accounting reports for management review.
  • Administer the escheat process for unclaimed assets.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of credit union policies and objectives.
  • Collaborate with auditors and examiners during annual audits.
  • Verify the accuracy of general ledger accounts and subsidiary records.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure proper reporting and settlement of various loan transactions.
  • Compile regulatory and external reports.
  • Guide, motivate, and assess team performance within the department.
  • Monitor departmental activities to ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for motivating and influencing others, resolving conflicts, and building relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software, particularly spreadsheets.
