As a Metallurgical Engineering Co-Op, You Will:
  • Use laboratory sample preparation equipment to enable further laboratory analysis
  • Perform laboratory testing and analysis using equipment such as hardness testing machines, microscopes, and spectroscopy analyzers
  • Summarize testing and analysis in communication with Metallurgical engineers and internal customers
Required Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Welding and Materials Joining Engineering, or related field
  • Good communication skills and collaborative ability to work well in a team
  • Ability to manage complexity, learn from others, and see projects through to completion
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Undergraduate student currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Welding and Materials Joining Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher
  • Familiarity with shop tools and a hands-on willingness to process test samples
