Co-op Job Overview:

We are seeking highly motivated and skilled students for our Metallurgical Engineering Co-op program. As a co-op in this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced engineers and scientists to develop and implement new technologies for the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Use laboratory sample preparation equipment to enable further laboratory analysis
- Perform laboratory testing and analysis using various equipment, including hardness testing machines, microscopes, and spectroscopy analyzers
- Summarize testing and analysis in communication with Metallurgical engineers and internal customers

Requirements:

- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Materials Science Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Corrosion Engineering, Welding and Materials Joining Engineering, or related field
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
- Ability to manage complexity, learn from others, and see projects through to completion

Preferred Qualifications:

- Familiarity with shop tools and hands-on willingness to process test samples
- Basic understanding of metallurgy and/or materials science
- Excellent interpersonal skills
