Job Opportunity

John Hinderer Honda Powerstore is seeking a skilled Powersports Service Technician to join their team. As a key member of the service department, this individual will be responsible for performing diagnostics, repairs, recalls, and maintenance work on motorcycles, ATVs, and UTVs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Examine vehicles to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.
  • Communicate with service advisors to ensure accurate and timely completion of repairs.
  • Document all work performed and recommended on repair orders.
  • Save and tag parts of the job if under warranty or requested by the customer.
  • Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.
  • Participate in Honda-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.
  • Stay up-to-date with Honda technical bulletins.
  • Maintain a clean and organized shop area.
  • Operate tools and equipment safely.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding parts and service ETAs.
  • Verify parts received and scan invoices into the shop.
  • Assist with repair order documentation.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One to two years of related experience and/or training.
  • Honda experience is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to provide personable and friendly customer service.
  • Own tools to perform tasks required at your proficiency level.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must pass a background check, including drug screening.
