We are seeking a skilled Automotive Service Advisor to join our team at John Hinderer Honda. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with our customers and providing exceptional service to ensure their complete satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Advises customers on necessary service for routine maintenance and identifies mechanical problems through questioning or visual inspection.
  • Confers with customers about inspection results, recommends corrective procedures, and prepares work orders for needed repairs.
  • Maintains high customer satisfaction standards and handles customer complaints in a professional manner.
  • Prepares repair orders showing time, cost, and labor estimates for service and explains the work performed and repair order charges to the customer.
  • Schedules service appointments and test drives vehicles with customers as needed to confirm problems or refer to test technicians.
  • Refers to service history, inspects vehicles, and recommends additional needed service to customers.
  • Provides a complete and accurate written cost estimate for labor and parts and obtains customer signatures on repair orders.
  • Establishes customer payment methods and checks on the progress of repairs throughout the day.
  • Reviews repair orders to ensure work is completed and additional work and authorization are noted, and closes repair orders as appropriate.
  • Ensures vehicles are parked in assigned areas, locked, and all keys are marked and put away correctly.
  • Handles telephone inquiries regarding appointments and work in process and inspects vehicles for body work, informs customers if work is needed, and provides estimates for body work.
  • Maintains a professional appearance and keeps work areas clean and performs other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
  • Must be able to satisfactorily complete a background check inclusive of drug screening.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and be eligible for auto insurance coverage under our company plan.
  • Must be able to satisfy I-9 requirements.
