Cherokee Insights is in search of an Intelligence Analysis Specialist within the Analysis Division to deliver mid-level analytical support aimed at identifying, evaluating, and neutralizing threats to cleared industry, personnel, the Department of Defense (DoD), and the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA).

The Analyst will assist U.S. Government responses to adversarial actions by disseminating threat indicators and facilitating responsive measures from various agencies and services.

Key Responsibilities of the Intelligence Analysis Specialist - Intermediate:


Provide analytical support to senior officials, collectors, and operators across the DoD, Intelligence Community (IC), and law enforcement agencies, as well as for DCSA's counterintelligence programs, functions, and mission activities, enabling the development and implementation of an enterprise security risk management methodology across government and industry stakeholders.

Conduct counterintelligence analysis to identify, evaluate, and disrupt threats to cleared industry, personnel, the DoD, and DCSA.

Perform analysis to identify and assess Foreign Intelligence Entity (FIE) threats related to the assigned mission area concerning DCSA, the trusted workforce, and sensitive information and technology within cleared industry.

Monitor and report on FIE threats identified in all-source raw message traffic pertinent to assigned mission areas.
Evaluate message traffic relevant to the assigned mission area and the Intelligence Information Reports (IIRs) cited in published analytical products.

Research, review, analyze, and process submitted cleared industry reports regarding FIE threats relevant to assigned mission areas.

Develop, support, and/or contribute to various analytical division efforts upon request or as analysis reveals emerging trends in FIE targeting, issues of strategic significance, and/or actionable information against FIE threats.

Generate counterintelligence referrals
Provide support to threat products
Contribute to the Director's Read-Book
Respond to ad-hoc tasking
Inform customers and stakeholders about FIE threats to cleared industry, personnel, the DoD, and DCSA.

Collaborate with counterparts in assessing and processing submitted cleared industry reports and communicate with DCSA personnel if essential information is missing.

Engage with customers and stakeholders, review feedback, and make necessary adjustments to enhance existing processes and/or product lines benefiting the counterintelligence mission.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Experience, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:

Must possess an active Top Secret / SCI level security clearance.

Preferred to have a minimum of 8 years of experience related to the Intelligence Analyst role, with at least some experience within the last 2 years.

Preferred to hold a Bachelor's degree
Graduate of in-residence Fundamentals of Intelligence Analysis course or Military Service equivalent.

Ability to produce IC-coordinated all-source intelligence analytic products on foreign intelligence entities' capabilities, intentions, willingness, and opportunities to threaten U.S.

DoD personnel, resources, activities, and interests globally.

Provide analysis that encompasses regional and functional counterintelligence topics, including foreign intelligence threats to Defense Critical Infrastructure Program (DCIP) and DoD supply chains, as well as emerging technologies and threats from foreign intelligence technical equipment to the DoD.

Collaborate and engage with customers and stakeholders to share threat information, enhance integration, and enable responsive measures from other agencies and services.

Comprehensive mission knowledge and skills that affirm completion of all developmental training and experiences for the labor category.

Ability to interpret information that may be incomplete, indirect, highly complex, seemingly unrelated, and/or technically advanced.

Structure analytic questions based on trends in reporting and a range of analytic perspectives from other analysts, organizations, and intelligence disciplines.

Able to work independently with minimal oversight and direction.

Demonstrates the ability to collaborate and work with other IC members on information sharing, driving collection, and addressing analytic disputes and conflict resolution.

Develop concise, insightful, and comprehensive products for defense intelligence.
Demonstrates the ability to guide teams in researching multifaceted or critical problems.
Working knowledge of the concepts involved in the specific functions outlined in the specified labor category description.
Knowledgeable of and demonstrates the ability to apply IC and DoD classification guidelines and procedures.
Able to use logic and systematic approaches to gather, evaluate, and synthesize multiple sources of information.
Demonstrates the ability to work semi-independently with oversight and direction.
Use logic when evaluating and synthesizing multiple sources of information.
Demonstrates the ability to interpret analysis, including its meaning, importance, and implications.

Defend analytic judgments with sound, logical conclusions and adapt analytic judgments when presented with new information, evolving conditions, or unexpected developments.

Ability to produce timely, logical, and concise analytic reports, documents, assessments, studies, and briefing materials in formats including Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.), electronic/soft copy matrices, and/or web-enabled formats.

Able to communicate complex issues clearly in a concise and organized manner both verbally and non-verbally; with strong grammar skills.

Proficiency in using Microsoft Office tools.

Demonstrates the ability to develop structured research, including but not limited to obtaining, evaluating, organizing, and maintaining information within security and data protocols.

Ability to recognize nuances and resolve contradictions and inconsistencies in information.
Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
