Key Responsibilities
Accurately and courteously processes customer requests at the service counter by utilizing a computer system, recording orders, entering precise information, and being knowledgeable about products, policies, and procedures. Engages in suggestive selling by proposing additional items or tools (e.g., literature, promotions, etc.). Efficiently fulfills over-the-counter requests by retrieving invoices from the printer, locating products on the shelves, and packaging orders for customers. Aids the Coordinator with financial reconciliations. Maintains optimal product levels on shelves by managing orders and monitoring inventory. Keeps precise records of stock and supplies.Organizes and cleans the storage area, including sweeping, arranging pallets, and managing tote breakdowns. Systematically stores and organizes materials on shelves and adjacent areas. Distributes materials accurately to various locations. Identifies and removes damaged products from totes for further processing. Ensures the rack area is consistently stocked.
Conducts cleaning in the store area as needed, including wiping down shelves, dusting, sweeping, and rotating stock. Assists customers with inquiries as required.
Additional Duties
Performs other tasks as assigned or necessary. Takes on supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the coordinator. Operates equipment such as pallet jacks and hand carts, as well as the basement elevator.Requires flexibility in scheduling (including month-end duties and a minimum of three Saturdays each month).
Required Qualifications
Proficient in 10-key data entry. Capable of typing at a speed of 30 words per minute. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate effectively with team members. Demonstrates teamwork. Capable of working independently and professionally. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to perform under pressure. Capable of lifting up to 80 pounds at waist height regularly. Engages in pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting throughout the shift. Ability to stand for the duration of the shift. Manual dexterity for tasks such as stapling, collating, sorting, filing, typing, and writing. Effective communication (hearing and speech) with individuals in person and over the phone.
