Account Manager Microbiology (Lazio, Molise, Abruzzo)

Position Summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic sales role within a designated territory. The successful candidate will be responsible for nurturing relationships within the Microbiology Business Division through direct sales and collaboration with local agencies. This position entails engaging with clinical and veterinary laboratories, as well as industrial food and water testing sectors, to promote our Microbiology solutions and innovations.

The Account Manager will be tasked with developing and executing the sales strategy for the specified region (Lazio, Molise, and Abruzzo). The focus will be on identifying new business opportunities and driving profitable revenue through strategic collaboration and a strong sales orientation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze customer applications to evaluate potential client needs. Formulate short, medium, and long-term strategies to enhance sales opportunities (Territory planning activities).
  • Oversee contractual processes, including confidentiality agreements, preferred provider agreements, pricing agreements, and tender submissions. Proactively address commercial issues and ensure accountability in sales progression. Coordinate resources (Molecular and AST teams) to deliver comprehensive solutions that foster growth in these product areas.
  • Provide regular account status updates as necessary, integrating SFDC into daily operations for accurate reporting. Generate sales forecasts and conduct monthly business reviews for the territory.

Minimum Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant field is required, with preference for disciplines closely related to our business (Microbiology, Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or other life sciences).
  • A minimum of 2 years of confirmed commercial experience or substantial knowledge in microbiology is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability in relationship management is crucial.
  • Experience with commercial tenders is advantageous.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with the confidence to articulate the company's vision.
  • Proficiency in English and Italian is required.
  • A full, clean driving license is necessary (with a minimum of 3 days of travel per week).
