Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Data Conditioning: Support the development of data conditioning processes to ensure high-quality data is delivered to our customers.
  • Data Aggregation: Design and implement data aggregation processes to combine data from multiple sources and deliver it to downstream applications.
  • ETL Platform Management: Ensure the ATO (Authority to Operate) for the ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) platform is maintained and updated as needed.
  • Data Flow Management: Oversee the data flow through the NiagaraFiles (NiFi) pipeline and ensure it is delivered to downstream consumers and applications.
  • Cable Dataset Classification: Support the development and maintenance of a cable dataset classification verification system.
  • Technology Advancement: Stay up-to-date with the latest technology trends and implement solutions to enhance and improve our data processing systems.
  • Cluster Management: Maintain and improve the NiFi cluster, an open-source data management tool, and microservices on JWICS and existing standalone deployments.
Qualifications
  • Education: Minimum of 16 years with a Bachelor's degree; Minimum of 14 years with a Master's degree; Minimum of 10 years with a Ph.D.; 18 years in lieu of degree.
  • Expertise: Expert knowledge of NiFi and NiFi clusters.
  • Microservices: Strong grasp of microservices and their use within a distributed architecture.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor and coach teammates.
  • Collaboration: Ability to collaboratively interact with customers, including senior management, data scientists, and end users.
  • Clearance: TS/SCI with poly.
Desired Qualifications
  • Containerization: Understanding of containerization and orchestration tools such as K8s.
  • Technical Specifications: Ability to decompose functional requirements into technical specifications and tasks.
  • Software Development: Experience with software development and maintenance using tools and languages such as Java, SQL, JavaScript libraries, HTML, XML, Python, Spark, etc.
  • API Development: Experience with developing APIs and web services for integration between systems and services.
  • Agile Methodologies: Experience with Agile development methodologies.
  • SecDevOps: Experience with SecDevOps processes.
  • Software Solutions: Ability to design and deliver software solutions for the Sponsor.
  • Security Accreditation: Experience with supporting and leading software security accreditation processes.
  • Automation Tools: Knowledge of automation tools such as Python, Powershell, Terraform, Ansible.
  • Cloud Environments: Experience with development in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $176,000 - $282,000, heavily subsidized employee benefits coverage for you and your dependents, 25 days of PTO accrued annually up to a generous PTO cap, and eligibility to participate in an attractive bonus plan.
