Job Title: Direct Support Professional

PathPoint is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our day services team in Grover Beach, CA. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing skills training and behavioral support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead in-person and online groups to help individuals develop skills, including art, music, cooking, recreation, vocational skills, and more.
  • Accompany groups on community activities for recreation or volunteer opportunities.
  • Build friendly and professional rapport with individuals and act as a positive role model for work habits, communication skills, and social skills.
  • May assist individuals with activities of daily living and personal care, including helping with meals and eating, toileting, transferring, changing, etc.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or disadvantages is desirable but not required.
  • Must have a valid California driver's license with a satisfactory driving record, 5 years of driving experience, and be eligible for coverage on PathPoint's auto insurance policy.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
