Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Management. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance inspections, troubleshooting, and repairing complex equipment and vehicles.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to Corporate/OSHA standards.
- Perform preventive maintenance inspections and ensure timely and effective repair of any issues identified.
- Diagnose and repair complex equipment and vehicles, utilizing vehicle computer electronics systems.
- Provide guidance and direction to other maintenance personnel, as needed.
- Estimate time and material costs on repairs and requisition new parts.
- Conduct safety checks on vehicles and perform maintenance-related work as required.
Requirements
- Four (4) years of previous experience in diesel equipment repair and maintenance.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Successfully complete and pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
