Responsibilities:

  • Complete all service jobs assigned
  • Document recommended additional repairs and work with the Shop Foreman on preparing quotes for customers
  • Communicate with the Shop Foreman, Shop Lead, and/or Shop Manager on unusual service problems or technical assistance needed
  • Attend service training classes to maintain knowledge on new products or refreshers on products not encountered often
  • Complete and submit all paperwork daily for jobs worked on (time cards, maintenance reports, etc.)
  • Communicate with the Shop Foreman on the status of jobs assigned
  • Offer assistance to other shop technicians as needed
  • Keep the shop clean and organized, cleaning up spills immediately
  • Adhere to safety rules and policies at all times

A qualified candidate will have mechanical experience, preferably on forklifts, construction equipment, or farm equipment. They should have a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical problems. The candidate must successfully complete any required training courses, have good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to organize and manage multiple priorities. Basic computer proficiency and laptop fundamentals are also required. The candidate must own necessary tools to perform repairs, be certified to operate material handling equipment (training provided), and commit to the company's vision and mission.
