Job Summary

This position is with the Department of Corrections' Corrections Construction Unit, reporting at the Corrections Construction office in Powhatan, Virginia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain inventory and control of construction-related tools, keys, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with established VADOC and CCU inventory control procedures.
  • Coordinate the tool room to safeguard the CCU tool investment.
  • Manage the optimal level of tools, ensure accessibility, and maintain good repair.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated skill in Microsoft Office Programs.
  • Knowledge of warehouse inventory control, maintenance tools, supplies, and equipment.
  • Knowledge of construction and maintenance terminology.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts.
  • Ability to lift items 0-75lbs and work in various environments.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A endorsement.
  • Experience in inventory control and distribution.
  • Experience with computer databases and inventory control systems.
  • Forklift operator certification.
