Storekeeper Senior

Job Summary

This position is with the Department of Corrections' Corrections Construction Unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of inventory control and management of construction related tools, keys, and equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse inventory control, maintenance tools, and supplies. Additionally, they will have knowledge of commonly used construction and maintenance terminology, and descriptions of construction tools and components.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain accurate inventory records of construction tools, keys, and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with established VADOC and CCU inventory control procedures.
• Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and repair of construction equipment and tools.
• Develop and implement effective inventory control systems to ensure optimal levels of tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with the CCU team to ensure seamless operations and efficient use of resources.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated skill in the use of Microsoft Office Programs.
• Knowledge of warehouse inventory control, maintenance tools, and supplies.
• Knowledge of commonly used construction and maintenance terminology.
• Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.

Preferred Qualifications

• Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A endorsement.
• Experience in inventory control and distribution.
• Experience with computer databases and inventory control systems.
• Forklift operator certification.
